A Theoretical Model for Clinical Practice

Our clients aren't broken.
They're burdened.

Here's the framework that treats them that way.

A way to conceptualize and treat the burden our people carry.

Reclamation Theory is a liberation-focused clinical model for understanding identity, capacity, and voice, built to restore the Black theorists our field left out of the room: Morrison, Fanon, Du Bois, DeGruy, Cross, and those who came before us. It gives practitioners language for what our clients have always known in their bodies.
